The State Bank of India invited applications for SBI Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in clerical cadre for 2023 from eligible candidates. The SBI selection process consist of 3 main Phases, Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, Test of specified opted language. In this article, we examine the details of

Phase-III: Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be required to undergo the language test.

SBI Junior Associate Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

Candidates having Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate. Candidates in Final year should ensure that the date of passing is on or before 31.12.2023

SBI Junior Associate Age Limit

Age Limit: (As on 01.04.2023): Between 20 and 28 years as on 01.04.2023. i.e. candidates must have been born not later than 01.04.22003 and not earlier than 02.04.1995 (both days inclusive).

Relaxation in Upper age limit:

1. Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes 5 Years
2. Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer)  3 Years
3. Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) – PwBD (SC/ ST)  15 Years
PwBD (OBC) 13 Years
PwBD (Gen/ EWS) 10 Years
4. Ex Servicemen, Commissioned officers including((ECOs), (SSCOs))  5 Years

 

 

SBI Junior Associate Pre-Exam Training

 

Pre-Examination Training: Bank will arrange pre-examination training (PET) in online mode for SC/ ST/ OBC/Religious Minority Community candidates in consonance with the guidelines issued by Government of India. All eligible candidates who like to participate in Training should fill in the relevant column in the on-line application.

 

SBI Junior Associate selection Process

Selection Process: The selection for SBI Junior Associate will be done through a three-Phase process: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, Test of specified opted language

Phase-I:

 SBI Junior Associate Preliminary Exam

Online Preliminary Exam consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1-hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows:

Phase-III Comprise of Test of specified opted language

Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to both – Preliminary & Main Examination):

There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, 1/4th of marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score.

 SBI Junior Associate Exam Centres

The examinations will be conducted online at venues across many centres in India.

 

 SBI Junior Associate Salary

A Clerical Cadre employee’s total beginning salary, which includes D.A., will be approximately Rs. 37,000 per month in metro areas.

PAY SCALE: Rs.17900-1000/3-20900-1230/3-24590-1490/4-30550- 1730/7-42600-3270/1-45930-1990/1-47920. The starting Basic Pay is Rs.19900/- (Rs.17900/- plus two advance increments admissible to graduates)

for SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates                                    : Rs.100/-

 SBI Junior Associate Selection Process

Provisional selection will be made on the basis of candidate’s performance in the Main Examination. A merit list will be compiled by state and category. Those who passed the test (main examination) will be arranged in their respective states and categories based on the descending order of their total scores.
