GATE 2024 Eligibility Criteria

GATE 2024 Exam Pattern

GATE 2024 will be conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT).Duration 3 hours. The exam will be held at more than 200 cities/towns spread across India.

Marking scheme
·         Questions carry either 1 mark or 2 marks
·         Negative marking For a wrong answer to an MCQ:  there will be negative marking.

For a 1-mark MCQ, 1/3 will be deducted for a wrong answer.

For 2-mark MCQ, 2/3 will be deducted for a wrong answer.

·         There is no negative marking for wrong answers to MSQ and NAT questions.
·         There is no partial marking for any question

 

GATE 2024 Fees

Depending on the candidate’s category and the period of application, the GATE 2024 application fee varies. The fee structure is as follows:

If submitted within the allotted time, the application cost for general/OBC/EWS candidates is INR 1,800.The price rises to INR 2,300 for late applications.

If submitted within the allotted time, the application fee for candidates who are SC/ST/PwD/women is INR 900. The price rises to INR 1,400 for late applications.
